What better way to learn about China and the Chinese culture than this performance featuring Northern Chinese Dragon Dancing, Southern Chinese Lion dancing, traditional Chinese instruments and the Chinese National Sport, Wushu? Martial Artistry's Team Steel Phoenix will present the history and the culture of China in a high-energy exhibition that will thrill audiences from the smallest children to adults.
Best of all, if your venue is a school or a charity event, performances are free through our educational outreach/charity program (free performances in the Albuquerque area only, please).
After the show, students are invited to participate in the Chinese tradition of feeding the lion "lucky money", which we provide. This hands-on experience is sure to pique the student’s interest in the joy of diversity, and is the perfect addition to a multi-cultural program.
The performance can run from approximately 30 minutes to one hour, including the time to allow the students to "feed" and examine the lion. Requirements are:
Electricity
A clear, level performance area of 20 by 40 feet
Ceiling height of 13 feet (weather permitting, outside performances are welcome)
